As a scientist, engineer and businessperson, he has spent the last 40 years researching and analysing global ecological, energy, social, economic and political dynamics, as well as being involved in the development, commercialisation and implementation of new technology in Europe, Australasia, America, Africa and Asia. During this time he has published a number of papers and articles on various aspects of his work as well as produced a number of reports on a consulting basis for a wide range of clients.
Last year Louis wrote a book Peak Oil, Climate Change and all that Jazz that presents his analyses of global trends and his answers to the key challenges of the 21st century (freely downloadable). Since then the global situation has substantially worsened along lines that he largely anticipated. His briefing will update the analyses he presented in his book.
